Nessa Mbatu

Nessa Mbatu is a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Midwifery and a master's degree in Nutritional Sciences with over 2 years of professional experience in Nutrition education, community mobilization, and health promotion, and one year of experience in project planning and coordination.
Prior to joining VAHA, She worked as a volunteer with Smiles Africa. She is also a certified young advocate for the prevention of non-communicable diseases and has participated in several focused group discussions, panel discussions, and conferences on non-communicable diseases in which she has been a panel member in some.
Nessa is also a proven educator and mentor with extensive tutoring experience as a part-time lecturer of basic nursing courses at the central university institute Bamenda, Cameroon. Her desire is that everyone gets to have proper knowledge on the modifiable risk factors of NCDs and adopt healthy behaviors in order to decrease the overall burden of non-communicable diseases. She lives in Bamenda, Cameroon, and is currently the Regional Coordinator of the North West.
