Access to Primary Health Care English speaking regions
We know that the Anglophone crises have damaged people’s lives in unspeakable ways by taking away basic things like shelter, food and other necessities. On top of those terrors, imagine if you were living with type 1 diabetes in the English speaking regions and required regular access to insulin and diabetes supplies for survival? As a result of the absence of these regular supplies, many patients (especially in hard to reach areas), have run into complications. #VAHA launched a diabetic clinic in Balikumbat medicalized center in 2016 with over 70 patients in attendance. As a result of these crises, the hospital is now a "camp" for the military. The question is where do these patients #access #care? Many can't be reached through their regular line. Information got to us that many have passed on and some now have severe complications. We can't continue living like this. #Access to #primaryHealthCare is a basic #humanRight and should be respected by all parties.
If you know of an IDP #DiabetesPatient who urgently needs supplies contact us ASAP.
