Building resilient communities and knock out depression in teen mothers
Under our Sexual And Reproductive health pillar, we are going beyond just working with our regular teens but also engaging teen mums in mitigating some of the difficulties they face as young mothers while also providing support service to integrate them back into the society.
YoungMothers often face significant challenges which can affect mental health, child health (their new born) , relationships, employment and social engagement.
This programme seeks to mediate many of these difficulties by developing peer support groups to enhance social opportunities and networks between parents and across services.
We are organising monthly drop-in sessions focused on a range of topics of interest to young mothers, involving guest speakers who can offer specialist information or advice and provide a signposting route for further support.
