Commemoration of the world AIDS day 2018
Refresher Training Session for 10 community HIV/AIDS peer educators for community health outreach on sexual and reproductive health and rights awareness
In commemoration of the world AIDS day 2018 VAHA mobilized, sensitized over 1000persons in Bamemda city of the northwest region screening about 70 including a hand full of internally displaced persons(IDPS), other youths, children and a hand full of elderly people.
VAHA also organised a football Tornament which was sponsored by International Medical Corps in collaboration with Cameroon Medical Women Association which was a great platform for meeting many young men who were also screened and told their status with great counsel.
Another screening was also done at Azeri old church junction Bamenda screening a hand full of saloon girls.Preventive methods such as the effective use of condoms was taught through our peer educators while over 300 condoms were shared to reduce the spread of the virus.
