Official launch of the Mother and Child Health and Nutrition Action Week
Value Health Africa participated in the official launch of the Mother and Child Health and Nutrition Action Week (SASNIME), coupled with the Second Round of Local Immunization Days (JLV) against poliomyelitis, officiated by the Minister of Public Health Ministère de la Santé Publique du Cameroun Mr Manaouda Malachie at the Nouvelle Destinée Orphanage in Bangue Health District, Douala V.

What is SASNIME?
The Mother and Child Health and Nutrition Action Week (SASNIME) is an integrated public health campaign that brings essential preventive health and nutrition services closer to communities. It runs from 9 to 13 July 2026 and targets children aged 0–59 months, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and women of childbearing age.
What are the JLV?
The Local Immunization Days (JLV) are a mass vaccination campaign aimed at protecting all children aged 0–59 months against poliomyelitis through the administration of the oral polio vaccine. This second round strengthens population immunity and contributes to the goal of a polio-free Cameroon.
Together, these campaigns help improve child survival, maternal health, nutrition, and immunization coverage, ensuring that no child is left behind.
