VAHA Educates over 50 Youths in Bamenda on sexual reproductive health
Value Health Africa has educated some youths (male/female) in the town of Bamenda ranging from 18_25 years, on sexual and reproductive health. Themes handled were
- prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS
- Hepatitis
- proper menstrual hygiene
- the use of contraceptives
- preventing abortion
This, under a unique phrase "everyone deserves quality sexual health care.
The seminar which went down hitch-free at the esplanade of the Bamenda Central University was highly interactive with many questions coming from male participants who promised to pass across the information gotten.
Participants who proved accurately knowledgeable on health matters were awarded prices.
VAHA equally made provisions for HIV screening. A total of 45 persons willingly went in for screening. As per results, no positive case was recorded.
These participants expressed gratitude to the team on the ground. They equally requested that VAHA organize more such seminars to enlighten them, saying this workshop will help them better deal with the crisis situation in the region.
This workshop puts an end to the Sexual and Reproductive Health project in the North West Region of Cameroon.
